General Description A total of 75,890,000 1 Dollar Coins were manufactured in Philadelphia with no mint mark. It's unknown how many type 3 coins were manufactured.
Obv. Description Bust of General/President Dwight D. Eisenhower facing left with the word Liberty over his head and under his chin are the words In God We Trust and the date is on the bottom.
Rev. Description Commemorating Appollo 11 the Eagle is landing on the moon. Over the eagles head is the earth and that's where the difference between Type 1 and Type 3 occur - it has to do with the placement of the islands below Florida. Across the top are the words United States of America and on the bottom is the denomination. Stars circle just below the lettering around the coin.
