General Description : Circular bronze medal with bar for ribbon suspension decorated with linden leaves
Front Description : the face with an upright sword imposed on the lion of Bohemia, the patriarchal cross of Slovakia to the left, a ribbon above inscribed ‘ZA CHRABROSŤ’ (For Bravery)
Back Description : the reverse inscribed ‘PRAVDA VÍTEZÍ’ (Truth prevails) and dated ‘1939’. The medal was instituted on 20 December 1940 by the Czechoslovak government in exile in London to be awarded to members of the Czechoslovak armed forces for bravery in the face of the enemy.
