| General Description | Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu (French pronunciation: [sɛ̃ ʒɑ̃ syʁ ʁiʃəljø]), commonly abbreviated as SJR, is a city in eastern Montérégie in the province of Quebec, Canada about 50 kilometres southeast of Montreal.
