| General Description : | The castle was built in renaissance style. The imperial county of Reckheim was a small independent country which lasted from 1623 until the abolishment by the French in 1795. It consisted of Reckheim and 3 other villages. The count was member of the Reichstag and the county was member of the Westphalian Kreis. Nowadays it is part of the Belgian province of Limburg. |
