| General Description : | Sowjetische Ehrenmal in Treptower Park, Berlin (Soviet War MemorialL). It is perhaps Berlin’s most spectacular war memorial. It was built 1946-1949 to commemorate the 20,000 Soviet soldiers that fell in the battle of Berlin in April-May 1945. It is located in the heart of the calm gardens of Treptower Park close to former East Berlin’s embassy quarters. |
