General Description The monetary system of Taiwan, Republic of China, is decimal based, with the primary unit of Taiwanese money being called the Yuan. (On the world money exchanges, the currency is referred to as a "New Taiwan Dollar," but I am denoting the coins the way they are presented on the coinage itself.)
