| General Description : | 2 Canadian Forces Flying Training School (2 CFFTS) is the centre of pilot training in Canada's Air Force. Also known as the "Big 2," 2 CFFTS trains over 150 pilots every year through the NATO Flying Training in Canada (NFTC) program. The Big 2 is also home to the Flying Instruction and Standards Section (FIS) , the unit responsible for training military flying instructors. As the NFTC prime contractor, Bombardier is responsible for all support aspects at the school, including the provision of the training aircraft - the CT-156 Harvard II turboprop and CT-155 Hawk advanced tactical jet. |
