| General Description : | Dragon Boat is marked as one of the fastest growing water sport of the day. It stemmed from the clever works of Ancient Chinese that lured a lot water sport enthusiasts from the time of its being. This sport emphasizes teamwork and endurance. It is composed of team of paddlers, a drummer who played as the heartbeat of the dragon boat and a steersman who sweeps the oar and controls the boat. The dragon boat magnificently shows how the crew shift their way up to their goal moving in sync. While most teams are packing up their paddles for the winter, there are those that travel to WALT DISNEY WORLD® for one last paddling adventure of the season. Located in Downtown Disney West Side, the Walgreens Orlando International Dragon Boat Festival attracts recreational and competitive teams from all over North America and has been the catalyst for many new team start-ups in the Orlando area. |
