General Description Andorra signed a Monetary Agreement with the European Union on 30 June 2011. As a result, Andorra can use the euro as its official currency and issue its own euro coins. All the coins feature the 12 stars of the European flag.
The Romanesque church of Santa Coloma is one of the jewels of Andorran Romanesque. It is located in the village of the same name, in the parish of Andorra la Vella. Pre-Romanesque in origin from the early 10th century or earlier, the building was decorated with 12th century Romanesque mural paintings by the Master of Santa Coloma.
These paintings left the country in 1930 and were recovered by the Andorran government in 2007.
Obv. Description At the center of the coin there is the Church of St. Coloma; right the year of mint and the inscription "ANDORRA". Around 12 five-pointed stars representing the European Union.
