Mothballed Nordic hippie, taught history and sociology in colleges for about 15 years,spent several years in marketing: some years working as a copy writer,&account manager in ad-agencies, magager of tourism in a county on the west coast, head of advertisments in a local news paper, A lot of jobs and little stability proves my origins (I am an alien) and my super hero ability to be hired for well paying jobs - combined with a rare super hero ability to find ever new reasons for leaving or losing jobs. I collect coins, I buy coins to keep in my collection. I do not trade or sell coins that sits well in my collection. I have collected passively for many decades and actively for half a dozen years, my collection has become large - maybe 5000 to 8000 coins - more than half has little if any value as collectibles, while the other half is mostly silver or old copper/bronze coins ("old" means before the year 1900" to me). I like silver coins that once were in circulation, but I do not mind those 1 ounze silver coins that is specially made for collectors or celebrating national important dates - but coins should really have been used to pay for something to be of interest, not true for all coins though. I have an Australian 2 ounce pure silver coin untouched by human hands that I just adore. The Canadians make beautiful coins with high silver content. The British owned most of the world once and I like to buy coins with the british regent on one side - like Australia and Canada together with lots of other, smaller states - Virgin Islands, Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man, Gibraltar, Falkland Islands and so on . I believe that there is close to 100 states that now or at a time in the past had the British regent on one side of their coins , like India or The Gambia and Malta and... the list goes on! I own 2 gold coins, too expensive to collect more. Coins should not be made ot Palladium or Titan.
